Vehicle Description Coyote Classics is incredibly excited to offer to you this incredible 1966 Pontiac GTO! This is one special car, a frame-off restored car with a recently-repainted original-code Burgundy Iridescent paint and Tri-Power carburetor setup.
Its Burgundy paint was done to a show quality finish inside and out with new brightwork and stainless steel! In 1966, the muscle car era was really beginning to take shape.
The GTO, which is widely credited with kickstarting that movement, became a separate model to distinguish it from the LeMans it was based on.
It featured styling with more curvature and kicked-up rear fender lines for a Coke-bottle look.
The taillights featured a louvered cover which was only seen on the GTO.
This gleaming '66 is powered by a 350C.
I.
, Pontiac V8, never leaving the driver wanting for more power.
That 350 breathes through a Tri-Power carburetion setup, allowing air to get to the engine through 3 pairs of Rochester 2G 2-barrel carburetors.
That power is transferred to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission, granting quick performance and fast acceleration at a moment's notice.
The factory-code Burgundy Iridescent paint looks absolutely gorgeous laid out over this GTO's body and is sure to turn heads wherever you go.
The interior Strato bucket seats are very comfortable, coming with the then-new for 1966 thinner seat backs and contoured cushions for added comfort.
Its interior was partially restored and looks nice for a driver but to be show quality like the paint and body it might need some updating.
The wood grain trim on the dashboard in addition to the center console give this GTO a very upscale look to match its performance.
Options on this GTO include power brakes, upgraded 4 wheel disc brakes, wipers, an updated AM/FM radio, updated JVC speakers, a heater
defroster, adjustable seats, an aluminum radiator, and a dual exhaust system.
The car rides on some sharp-looking new American Racing Torque thrust Chrome Wheels with New BFG RWL tires.
Mechanically this Goat drives nice but just needs a few more things to really make it top shelf! If you're in the market for a GTO with a desirable color with a gorgeous paint job on a super clean body, then this '66 may just be what you're looking for! VIN and Cowl Tag decode as follows:
