Vehicle Description What we have here is an incredible 1970 Plymouth GTX.
In its time, the Plymouth GTX was positioned as the gentleman's muscle car and was presented with a high-performance, high-style approach that was similar to Pontiac's GTO.
The GTX came standard with a 440 C.
I.
V8, and this beautiful example still happens to have its original factory U-Code 440 with a fresh rebuild.
Tastefully finished yet with minimal extravagance, this GTX matches its strong performance with unbeatable style.
The GTX and its B-Body performance twin, the Plymouth Roadrunner, were both facelifted for 1970 and featured smoother lines than the previous model year.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels by the numbers-matching Plymouth 727 automatic transmission which is then connected to the original 8 3/4, 3.
23 rear axle.
This example was restored years back to the original Ivy Green Metallic paint with matching dark green, bucket seat interior with yellow side-striping.
The floors, frame, and trunk are absolutely rock-solid and appear to be original and genuine.
The interior trim is fantastic as well, as the wood-grain trim and complimentary bucket-seat coloring give the indication that this car is in fact a genuine GTX.
This excellent Plymouth is fitted with power steering, power drum brakes, pushbutton AM radio, working factory tachometer, new dual exhaust system with correct tips, Rallye gauges, and the original fender tag decoded and matching.
The GTX rides on a fantastic set of 15x7BF Goodrich RWL tires.
This green monster of a GTX runs and drives incredibly well, and it is waiting for you to give it the chance it needs to get back out on the road! VIN and Fender Tag decode as follows:
