Vehicle Description What we've got here is one rare bird.
This 1967 Ford Mustang GT is the real deal, with an authentic S-Code engine and a list of rare options.
Introduced in 1967 for its debut model year, the S-Code Mustang GT was only offered until 1969.
The S-Code engine offered with the GT was the largest engine available in a Mustang for 1967, the fire-breathing 390 C.
I.
V8 offering 320hp.
That was 50 horsepower more than the top-rated 289! This one, although in rougher shape, is a true diamond in the rough.
With the aforementioned 390 C.
I.
V8 and a 4-barrel carburetor, this '67 GT will go like hell at the slightest input of throttle.
Handling all that power is a heavy-duty 4-speed manual transmission, not only giving this Mustang a transmission that ensures quick response but also one that is a lot of fun.
The once-gleaming red paint on this '67 Ford is in rough shape, but as is the case with a real survivor, that is to be expected.
There are cracks throughout, however, it is still complete with no signs of rust.
What makes this car even more unique is its interior, with vinyl bench seats.
Very few 1967 Mustangs were built with bench seats, around 1.
7% of the total, and the number of those that were S-Code GTs are probably far fewer.
The interior could be restored, as it is presented in near original shape.
Options on this '67 include an AM pushbutton radio, a heater
defroster, vent windows, updated Polk rear speakers, and a sweet-sounding dual exhaust system.
The car rides on some classic Mustang steel wheels on top of B.
F.
Goodrich RWL tires.
This '67 GT has boatloads of potential, with the codes and rare options to back it up.
Whether you're looking to enjoy a piece of highly original Ford history or looking to restore an investment-grade classic, this Mustang has plenty to offer.
