Vehicle Description We've got a nice one here.
On the showroom floor now is also the real deal, an authentic 1971 Ford Mustang Mach-1.
Repainted in Grabber Yellow, this Mach-1 means business.
1971 was the first year of the 1st-Gen Mustang's second major restyling, making America's favorite pony car the longest, lowest and widest it had ever been up to that point.
Aside from the Boss 351, the Mach-1 represented the pinnacle of the Blue Oval's performance at the height of the muscle car era.
The Mach-1's main highlight was the 'M-Code 351 C.
I.
V8 breathing through a 4-barrel carburetor, which is what this mean Ford is equipped with! Torque from that 351 gets to the pavement by being bolted up to a 3-speed automatic, shifting both quickly and smoothly.
All Mach-1s came with a Competition suspension package and power front disc brakes.
Externally, they were marked by their functional NASA hood ducts, honeycomb grille, bodyside stripes and Mach-1 decals.
The Mach-1 in question has a beautiful Black Knit vinyl interior with bucket seats and chrome trim.
The interior is extremely comfortable for a muscle car, making this Ford feel like driving a rocket in a recliner.
Options on this Mach-1 include power steering, power brakes, factory air conditioning, front disc brakes, an updated AM/FM/Cassette stereo system, dual-sport mirrors, a remote left-hand mirror, newer 'Xplod speakers, and an aggressive dual exhaust system.
The Mustang in question rides on a great set of Magnum 500 wheels with Firestone Firehawk RWL tires.
This an extremely well-taken-care-of car that runs, drives, and sounds incredible.
With this Mach-1, you'll be able to rule the streets.
This mean Ford is ready to jump in and go at a moment's notice! VIN decodes as follows:
