1968 saw the addition of new chrome ornamentation, increased safety with a two-spoke energy-absorbing steering wheel, along with newly introduced shoulder belts.
Other changes included the removal of the FORD insignia from the hood, the movement of the rearview mirror from frame to windshield, and the addition of optional C-Stripes on the side doors.
